Tour BaseCamp
The BaseCamp tour section is available for viewing. Thanks to the team at 37 signals, We now have a series of introductory videos which provide an overview of BaseCamp. Select BaseCamp Tour from the sidebar.
Why We Use BaseCamp
We use a BaseCamp because we belive in an open, collaborative design process. This secure on-line workroom is an organized, dedicated space to communicate and store project details. Even though you will recieve an e-mail each time we post information on-line, we've found that separating project information from everyday messages improves project communication and provides a single clearinghouse for all project information.
When we begin a project, you will receive a username and password. Anywhere you have internet access, you can send messages and review your project's deadlines (milestones), to-dos, message boards, as well as contact information for everyone collaborating in the development and production of your project.
Logging In
The log-in appears in two areas. Either use the log-in button in the client tools section of our website or enter https://stressdesign.clientsection.com directly in your browser address bar. Additionally, you may choose to bookmark this, or add this to your browser toolbar for easier access.
To login, enter your username and password (all are lower case).
Please! Do not share your log-in with anyone. If additional people in your office need access to BaseCamp, please contact us. It's a quick, easy process to add a new contact to your company. To reduce unnecessary communication each user will only be given access to the projects they are involved with.
Forgot your password?
No problem, simply click I forgot my password and it will be e-mailed to you right away.
The Tabs
Overview
The Overview tab provides a birds-eye view of your project. On the left hand side of the page is the upcoming milestones or milestones due in the next 14 days, to-do's (both open and closed) and messages. You will also notice a list of everyone that has access to the project.
Messages
The message board is where we will post details of the project. Messages will be posted in categories for reference, sorting and searching.
Messages can be viewed all together or by a specific category. You can also post a new message or comment on previously posted messages.
When a new message is posted for your attention, you will receive an email from the project system. When posting new messages or comments, you can choose (or not) who you want notified of the new message.
Note: Please do not reply to e-mails sent from the project area. These messages will not be sent! Instead, click on the link and reply from within the project area. This keeps all project related information in one place, and searchable through BaseCamp
To-Do List
To-Do's are our list of things to do. Here, you will see our list of upcoming tasks for your project. There may also be to-do assigned to you. These will have a background of yellow and have your name (or company next to it). If a to-do is assigned to you, you can check it off when it's completed.
You can also create your own to-do list to track additional project information.
Milestones
This tab will allow you to view milestones setup for the project. Milestones are important dates such as due dates and meeting times. Messages can also be linked to a specific milestone. On the milestone tab, the message linked will be listed below the milestone entry.
Color codes: milestones are color-coded on the calendar for easy scanning.
- Yellow is for upcoming milestones
- Red is for late milestones
- Green is for completed milestones
- Blue is for today.
As with to-do's, you can also create your own list of Milestones to track client-side project detail.
People
This tab will allow you to view all the people associated with the project. It includes contact information for everyone involved with your project in your company, and at stressdesign.
Dashboard
You will only see the Dashboard if we collaborate on more than one project. The Dashboard is the summary page for all projects that we have in progress with you at any given time. On this page you will see upcoming milestones (deadlines). If there is a Milestone within the next 14 days, it will be appear on the Dashboard calendar.
On the right hand side is the open projects that we have on file. If there is only one project active for you, the extranet will open into the Overview and the Dashboard will not show. To start, click on any project you will be transferred into the Overview for that project.
Printing
Not only does BaseCamp look good and work well on screen, it's quite polite and well formatted for offline viewing, too. Print any BaseCamp page as you normally print from any other program and BaseCamp will automatically generate a specially formatted printed page.
Printing is especially useful for posting project Milestones or to-do lists to share with co-workers, reports, or to post in your office for reference.
