San Antonio Texas based SSK HR retained stressdesign to develop an identity system and brand communication materials. SSK HR is an independent human resources consultancy that specializes in finding uniquely qualified techincal candidates for its clients.

Stephanie Kelly, President of SSK Human Resources says “I came to stressdesign because I needed a solution that was unique, professional, and memorable. They delivered 110%, and have exceeded our own high standards.”

For the initial launch of the new system, SSK had pragmatic needs for materials “Having a business card that stood out was paramount.” Says Kelly. “The solution that stressdesign developed is really helping me reinforce a professional image.”

The typographic logo solution that stressdesign developed for SSK is symbolic of the work the firm does. Kelly says “…we help our clients put the pieces together, we have systems in place that make recruiting, and hiring streamlined. SSK is able to assemble unique hiring programs for each of their clients needs.” The individual line elements in the logo come together to form a new whole, the SSK symbol. Designer Nathan Eaton adds: “To reinforce the idea of retention, the letterforms in this mark are constructed using bordering lines. These borders create paths in its negative space signifying the “path” or process of recruiting valuable employees. The same forms are used to construct both the S and K, two vastly different letterforms. This combination represents SSKs ability to adapt to each individual client and their needs.”

The first phase of deliverables included the core brand identity, print stationery system, business cards, case study templates, and PowerPoint template. Stressdesign will be developing print collateral and website in the first quarter of 2009.
