Peculiar Pair Press

Recently, we helped Peculiar Pair Press of San Francisco, CA refine their on-line strategy as part of a website redesign that included site architecture, content management, and and eCommerce solution.
“This was a large-scale project,” says Christine Walker, design lead on the Peculiar Pair web initiative “The old site had around one dozen pages. The new site we launched has more than 50, not including the e-commerce portion. We had 3-4 staff at stressdesign working with the principals of Peculiar Pair on this project, developing site architecture, information hierarchy, and the visual design for the site.”
The existing brand identity for Peculiar Pair Press was strong to start with,” says Marc Stress. “It was a great platform for us to build on. The animated elements on the site become a metaphor for how their presses work. Visually, it’s like watching ink print on the paper.”
E-Commerce was an important part of the site, and for their strategy moving forward. Stressdesign was able to help Peculiar Pair Press identify and build a flexible platform that will easily support the hundreds of products the company offers.
“Overall, we’re thrilled with the results,” says Mary Beth Fiorentino. “Stressdesign worked with us to make sure the finest detail matched the quality and craftsmanship of our own work. They clearly understood our audience and the marketplace, and our products… this has been critical to the success of our new site.”
