The SU Humanities Center was founded in 2008 and fosters public engagement in the humanities. It is home to the Syracuse Symposium, the Mellon CNY Humanities Corridor, the Jeanette K. Watson Visiting Collaborator, the Humanities Center Mini-Seminar series, and other major research initiatives. Stressdesign has been working with The Syracuse University Humanities Center to provide brand communications across their entire marketing platform. We implemented a content managed platform that allows the organization to highlight each of its three main components, and all events via each of those segments within a central calendar. In addition to the added functionality we were able to improved the visual presentation. As a result, we were able to introduce a more flexible platform for communicating Center news and special events.

As a way to bring awareness to an important population of hungry and starving children, EMA created The Hunger Bear for Food Bank of Central New York. The 30 second PSA started a viral marketing influence, and donors and friends of the Food Bank began asking for thier own Hunger Bear stuffed animal. Stressdesign worked with the Food Bank of Central New York to continue generating awareness of this character and the message that it brought to the community. An e-commerce microsite was created for Hunger Bear as another way to generate awareness of the growing hunger in Central New York and how the community can help.

Stressdesign included in Rockport Publishing Spring 2010 release.
Stressdesign is proud to be included in a new title from Rockport Publishers: Design Matters: Portfolios 01 written by Maura Keller.
During the past few years, portfolio management and self-promotion have taken on a far greater role within a graphic designer’s business model. The degree to which they can increase their earned revenue through exceptionally defined, marketing-oriented promotions and portfolio management is paramount. These individuals and agencies now identify their product as cultural tourism and stress the role of their work as economic generators.
This book defines the core elements of self-promotion and portfolio creation and provides the insights graphic designers need to showcase their work in unique and creative ways. Case studies demonstrate the different techniques designers use to create successful portfolios for different audiences and measure the results of those efforts. The book also details how often portfolios should be updated and distributed and determine workable budgets to produce a great portfolio.
Design Matters: Portfolios 01 is the sixth Rockport Publishing title work from stressdesign has been featured in since the firm was founded in 2000. Stressdesign is a brand communications firm with expertise in identity, publication and web design.

Gamble Associates approached stressdesign with an new identity system and a need to develop a communication platform for the Boston-based architecture firm. We established an online presence that extended the look and feel of Gamble Associates, to new mediums and provides the firm a tool to present a rich portfolio of work.

Earlier this year, stressdesign switched power providers to a Blue Rock Energy. The switch allowed us to select energy including natural gas and electric sourced from 100% renewable sources including wind, bio-mass and hydro-electric. The energy is generated with New York state resources. This switch follows with our efforts to promote renewable energy sources, such as wind and to increase our environmental responsibility. Combined with the Carbon Offset program these initiatives help stressdesign reduce our carbon footprint and support other New York State businesses.

Micros Leasing is the national provider of financing options for high-end POS systems in the restaurant and hospitality markets. The organization needed a presence separate from their corporate group, while still portraying the integrity of the corporation to their existing and potential customer base. A suite of material was created for Micros Leasing to fulling educate their audience on the breadth of leasing options.
