Marc Stress, president and design director of Stressdesign, a Syracuse-based design firm specializing in communications for business and education clients, was selected for the January 2008 “People to Watch” issue of Graphic Design USA. Stress was among 43 design professionals across the country to receive a full-page profile in the industry-leading magazine.

Take a look around the web, and you will notice there’s more to see. Almost weekly, at least one Fortune 500 company unveils a web redesign, and they’re all pushing site design standards to new widths. Less than 2 years ago, major sites like Microsoft, CNN, all fell with in the standard lowest common screen width of 800 pixels. Most sites, due to browser chrome issues were quite a bit smaller to allow for scroll bars and window borders and interface elements to be displayed. (more…)
