Stressdesign, a Syracuse-based design firm specializing in communications for business and education clients, recently won five awards in the 2005 Portfolios.com Awards Show. The agency was recognized for excellence in both graphic and web design.

The annual Portfolios.com Award Show was created to recognize creative excellence. This year’s competition awarded entries in five disciplines: Advertising, Graphic Design, Web Design, Photography and Illustration.

Stressdesign took top honors in the Graphic Design category for, “Humor”, a poster produced for the Syracuse University Symposium lecture series. The agency won a bronze award in Web Design for the Torridon Vending Service site and was recognized for excellence in logo development for Clayscapes Pottery, SUNTEC and LeaseADE.

In last year’s Portoflios.com Award Show, stressdesign won Gold for its design of the Syracuse University Lecture Series Anthology. This piece also received an American Graphic Design Award for publication design as well as a Silver Addy at the Syracuse Advertising Club Awards.

Launched in 1995, Portfolios.com was the first searchable creative directory on the Internet. The site showcases the best designers, illustrators, photographers, writers and film professionals in the industry and has been touted by leading industry publications, including Communication Arts, Applied Arts and I.D. Magazine.
